Reduction of Business Days in April at Toshiba Materials Co., Ltd

Toshiba Materials Co., Ltd
- To contain the spread of COVID-19, Toshiba materials Co., Ltd revises domestic business calendar to reduce interpersonal contacts across the company –
In response to the Japanese government’s strong request to people to observe stricter social distancing, Toshiba Materials' domestic bases, including branch offices, branches, sales offices and factories, will reduce the number of business days in April, mainly by advancing holidays that were scheduled to coincide with the Tokyo Olympics.
Although the government declared a state of emergency, the number of people infected with the coronavirus has continued to increase, most of all in the seven prefectures subject to the emergency declaration. In light of this, Toshiba materials is acting to minimize interpersonal contacts throughout the group in Japan.
This change of business calendar applies only to domestic operations. In its overseas operations, Toshiba Materials will continue to follow the guidance and instructions provided by national and local governments.
As it continues to implement thorough measures to minimize risk of infection, and as long as it does not experience unexpected difficulties triggered by the further spread of the coronavirus, including supply chain disruption, Toshiba Materials will ensure production, product delivery and maintenance service support for customers and business partners in Japan. Overseas, Toshiba Materials will continue product delivery and other support for customers, subject to the guidance and instructions provided by national and local governments and conditions on the ground.
Toshiba Materials appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its customers and business partners in dealing with the current situation.
