Doped tungsten wires for lamps

Outline

We offer doped tungsten non-sagging wires for lamps. Doping agents are added at the powder-making stage. The powder is then sintered into ingots by electric heating. The crystalline structure, namely grain size and shape, of sintered ingots is controlled when the ingots are plastic deformed under optimal conditions.

Advantages

  • W31: W31 wires are standard doped tungsten wires with excellent non-sagging properties.
  • W91: W91 wires are non-sagging wires developed for higher-temperature use than W31 wires. They are suitable for halogen lamp filaments. They have higher non-sagging properties by maintaining inter-granular strength and suppressing void production at elevated temperatures by reducing the impurities content using our own technology.

*The non-sagging property is checked by sagging tests specified by our company standards. For more detailed information on this test method, please refer to our standards shown in the pdf file below. Table 1 of the standard presents requirements of the sagging test results for W31 and W91 wires.

Applications

Electric bulbs and fluorescent lamps

Secondary re-crystallization structure of 1-mm-dia. wires, Lined void holes
