Cores for pulse transformers

Toshiba Materials has developed high-permeability cores, which fully utilize the magnetic properties of cobalt-based amorphous material, using our own patents and optimizing materials and processes. These cores are suitably applicable to not only pulse transformers but also common-mode noise filters, and high-sensitivity sensors. When they are employed for pulse power cores, cores can be miniaturized thanks to their high permeability.

Advantages
- High permeability means inductors can be miniaturized and have high performance.
- Transformer efficiency will be improved because of low loss.
- Only a small change will be produced in permeability against changes in the magnetic field (Constant permeability).
- 1-mm-thick cores can be manufactured.
